Why Work Here

A place to do steady, meaningful work with children in a program families count on.

Sprouts is not trying to be flashy. It is the kind of place where showing up, caring well, staying organized, and helping children feel safe actually matters every day. For the right person, that makes the work deeply meaningful.

Children are known here. Families rely on the program. Staff help make each day calmer, safer, and more dependable for the people who walk through the doors.

Structured, supportive environment

We care about consistency and clear expectations. Administrators are actively involved in classroom work and support the teaching team.

All roles offer paid sick time, a 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching, a dental insurance option, and an employee discount on Sprouts child care tuition.

A path to a debt-free early childhood degree

Classroom aides and assistant teachers can pursue T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood Pennsylvania scholarships with Sprouts as a sponsoring employer. Sprouts covers T.E.A.C.H. tuition through its education reimbursement plan. Current eligibility rules include an average of at least 25 hours a week directly with children and about six months with the sponsoring program; awards depend on funding. See T.E.A.C.H. eligibility. All staff have access to ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) training, and Sprouts covers continuing education and CPR training costs.

Connections to food and community support

Staff may eat the meals served to children at no cost. Sprouts is part of Tree of Life, which operates the Brookline Christian Food Pantry in this building. Team members can ask privately about current pantry and food-resource opportunities for themselves or their households. Availability and eligibility may vary.
