About the role
Brookline Sprouts is hiring Cooking Support for its scratch kitchen. We source food from Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, a member of the Feeding America network, and prepare it for children at Sprouts. Work includes moving milk, breaking down raw ingredients, getting plates ready, washing dishes, and cleaning the kitchen and cafeteria.
Brookline Sprouts is part of Tree of Life Open Bible Church's work with Brookline families. Each role helps make the neighborhood a better place for children and families.
Responsibilities
- Move milk as needed.
- Break down and prepare raw ingredients for meals in the scratch kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients, including cutting carrots and peeling potatoes.
- Prepare plates and help serve meals.
- Follow food safety and allergy instructions while preparing and serving food.
- Wash and sanitize dishes and work areas, and clean the kitchen.
- Clean up the cafeteria as part of meal service.
Qualifications
- ServSafe certification is preferred. Brookline Sprouts will provide it if needed.
Schedule
Flexible, 0–39 hours per week based on your availability and available work.
Pay
$17–$22 per hour.
